18 Dec Official Statement from Taekwondo Ontario

We have been made aware from Waterloo Regional Police that a coach in Ontario has been charged with sexual assault to a minor.

We can confirm that while the individual involved is not on Taekwondo Ontario’s staff, they have coached at local competitions and training camps sanctioned by our Provincial Sports Organization.

Taekwondo Ontario takes any allegations of this nature very seriously. A safe training and competitive environment for everyone involved in our sport is Taekwondo Ontario’s number one priority. With the matter now before the courts, and out of respect to all parties involved, we will not be commenting further on this matter or the case itself, to ensure we allow for due legal process to take place.
