08 Nov Safe Sport Provisional Suspension / Leave of Absence – In Kyung Kim
Dear Taekwondo Ontario Membership;
On September 26, 2024, Taekwondo Ontario’s Board of Directors were notified from Taekwondo Canada’s Independent Third Party that In Kyung Kim had been suspended in accordance with section 7 of Taekwondo Canada’s Discipline and Complaints Policy.
Accordingly, while the suspension remains in place, he is prohibited from attending, participating or otherwise engaging in any Taekwondo Canada-sanctioned training, workshops, or competitions, or any other activity directly or indirectly related to Taekwondo Canada, their member Provinces, their Special Interest Groups, Partners or registrants in any capacity.

On October 22, 2024, In Kyung Kim notified the Taekwondo Ontario Board of Directors via email that in-light of the suspension, he is taking a leave of absence pending the outcome and conclusion of the Safe Sport matter.

The Taekwondo Ontario Board of Directors further resolved, during an Emergency Board meeting on October 22, 2024, to accept Master In Kyung Kim’s voluntary temporary leave of absence until the investigation and resolution of the safe sport complaint process is completed. During this interim period, the following condition shall apply, as per the OTA’s bylaws:
Reassignment of Powers and Authority: The powers and authority of the President shall be temporarily reassigned to the 1st Vice President with immediate effect during the interim period.
