The Taekwondo Ontario Referee Committee is pleased to announce a Provincial Poomsae Referee Seminar to be held on Saturday January 28, 2023. This seminar will be run at the Master Kang’s Black Belt Martial Arts in Toronto.

*This seminar meets the process to certification, upgrades, and/or NCCP requirement

Course Conductor: TBD

Eligibility: Minimum 13 years old, 2nd Keup and current Taekwondo Ontario member in good standing

Registration: Open

Registration Fees:

• P1/P2/P3 Class Certification Course – $100
• Refresher / Coach Course – $50

Attire: Dobok
Bring: Pen/pencil, notebook, lunch, copy of competition rules

Seminar topics will include the following:

• Referee fundamentals and duties
• Theory (rules and scenarios)
• Hand signals
• Practical evaluation (to be completed in the afternoon)

*All participants are expected to review and/or have a printed or electronic copy of the latest WT Poomsae Competition Rules and Interpretation for the seminar. This can be downloaded on the WT website.

New and upgrading referees will be required to successfully complete a written exam and practical evaluation in order to earn a certificate.
