07 Sep Ontario Athletes Shine at 2025 WT President’s Cup in Lima, Peru

Taekwondo Ontario proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of its athletes at the 2025 WT President’s Cup, where Ontario competitors led Team Canada to an impressive medal haul, including multiple gold medals and MVP honors.
Nicholas Hoefling, coached by Master Carlo Bacco, and Ella Brewster, coached by Grand Master Young Su Choung, both captured gold medals and were named Senior MVPs, underscoring their dominance on the international stage. Rising star Laila Khan, under the guidance of Master George Koh, also secured a gold medal, further highlighting Ontario’s depth of talent.
Other podium finishes included Leo Andric, who earned a silver medal, and Alexandra Charron and Jordanna Nunez, who claimed a bronze medals, adding to Ontario’s strong showing.
“These results are a testament not only to the dedication and skill of our athletes but also to the strength and depth of knowledge within our coaching community” said Master David Silverman, President of Taekwondo Ontario. “Our coaches are committed to developing the next generation of champions, and this event proves that Ontario is a leader in producing world-class talent.”
